Sacred Heart School is an accredited Catholic school for grades K-8 under the supervision of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
The formal curriculum for Sacred Heart School is contained in the Galveston-Houston Archdiocesan Curriculum Guides. These curriculum guides are based on Christian values and authentic Catholic doctrine.
Extended curriculum encompasses every phase of Elementary Education as required by the State of Texas for Kindergarten through eighth grade.

Textbooks are selected from the State of Texas adopted textbook list. A variety of supplementary materials in addition to basic textbooks are used to enrich and expand the curriculum.
Students in grades K-5 are taught primarily by a homeroom teacher but also participate in Physical Education, Music, and Spanish from specialized teachers.
Students in grades 6-8 have the opportunity to experience a junior high style education- changing classes according to subject area. Junior High Students also enjoy the opportunity of participating in athletics and additional extra curricular activities such as:
